Who we serve

We work with businesses that want clarity, not just compliance.

If you're looking for an accounting firm that stays — that learns your business, notices things, and helps you make better decisions — this is what we're built for.

We serve businesses and business owners who know that good financial information changes the quality of every decision they make. This includes businesses at nearly every stage — from startups building their financial foundation through established businesses managing complexity. What matters more than size or age is readiness: you want a partner who stays, learns your business, and helps you make better decisions.

Most of our clients are service-based businesses, professional practices, or businesses with moderately complex operations. They want someone who understands their industry, knows their history, and can answer questions without needing to be reminded of context every time.

If that sounds like where you are, we'd like to talk.

You're a good fit if
You value accuracy, want to understand your numbers, and are ready to invest in a relationship that improves how you run the business.
You're a good fit if
You're tired of turnover. You want a team that learns your business and stays with you as it grows.
You're a good fit if
You're generating revenue and managing enough complexity that good financial information matters to your success.
You're probably not a fit if
You're primarily looking for the lowest-cost option or if accurate financials aren't a priority right now.
Business stages we serve
We work best with businesses at specific stages — not all of them.

Most of our clients fall into one of these three categories. If you're somewhere else, we'll be honest about whether we're the right fit.

Stage 1
Established & Stable
Businesses that have found their model, are generating consistent revenue, and are focused on operational efficiency and profitability rather than rapid growth.
Law firms, consulting practices, agencies
Service businesses with recurring revenue
Businesses looking to improve margin and cash flow
Stage 2
Growing & Scaling
Businesses generating revenue and navigating the complexity that comes with growth — from early-stage startups to established companies hiring, building systems, and scaling operations.
Startups transitioning from founders doing everything to building teams
Businesses hiring their first employees or expanding teams
Companies expanding service lines or markets
Businesses needing financial systems that scale with growth
Stage 3
Preparing for Transition
Owners getting ready to sell, transition to new leadership, or make major structural changes. This stage requires clean books, accurate valuation, and strategic financial planning.
Owners planning exits in the next 2-5 years
Succession planning and ownership transitions
Businesses preparing for acquisition or sale
Technology & platforms
We build around a defined tech stack — so we can serve you consistently and well.

We're selective about the platforms we support. That's not a limitation — it's how we deliver consistent, high-quality service across every client relationship.

Primary standard
QuickBooks Online
Our default accounting platform for most client relationships. Strong fit for service-based businesses, professional services, and moderately complex businesses. Most new clients will be on QBO or will move there as part of onboarding.
Preferred payroll
Gusto & QBO Payroll
Our preferred payroll environments for new clients. We work with ADP and Paychex on a transitional basis for clients with existing setups, but our standard is Gusto or QuickBooks Payroll.
Tax platform
ProConnect
Our standard tax platform for preparation, planning, and strategy work. Keeping tax and accounting on integrated platforms allows for better coordination and fewer gaps between what the books show and what gets filed.
Transitional support
QuickBooks Desktop
We support Desktop clients on a migration basis. If you're currently on Desktop, we'll help you transition to QBO as part of the Foundation process. Desktop is not a platform we build new relationships around.
Select clients
Xero & NetSuite
We have experience and certifications in both platforms and can work with clients in these environments on a case-by-case basis. Ask us whether your current setup is a fit.
Available — ask us
AI-Native Bookkeeping
For qualifying clients, we offer AI-native bookkeeping workflows through select platforms. This is an evolving area and availability depends on your business type and complexity. Ask us in your Assessment whether it fits your situation.
Not sure if your current platform is a fit? The Financial Clarity Assessment covers your technology environment as part of the intake review. We'll let you know what we recommend and what migration, if any, makes sense for your situation — with a clear scope and honest pricing attached to it.
When we're not the right fit
We'd rather be honest than waste your time.

Some situations are genuinely outside what we do well. We'd rather tell you that clearly than take on work we can't serve properly.

Full ERP environments. Businesses running complex manufacturing, deep supply chain workflows, or large-scale multi-entity ERP implementations need a different kind of firm.
Pure price shoppers. If the primary decision factor is lowest price, we'll disappoint you. We're built for clients who value partnership and clarity — not the cheapest option.
Clients unwilling to migrate platforms. If your current software genuinely doesn't fit our stack and you're not willing to consider a change, we can't serve you consistently well.
Businesses needing forensic accounting. Investigation and litigation support work requires a different model and different expertise than what we provide.

Not sure if you're a good fit? Let's find out together.

The Financial Clarity Assessment is where every client relationship begins — and it's also how we confirm whether we're the right firm for your situation. If we're not, we'll tell you honestly and point you in a better direction.
